A 2ND COLD STORAGE SEASON FOR HEXKOEL

If you thought that Hexkoel is a storage facility operational only 4 months of the year during the table grape harvest season, you've got another thing coming! During 2020 Hexkoel stored citrus volumes for the 1st time and between weeks 25 and 29, they stored 1171 pallets for Core Fruit. During 2021 (weeks 25 to 29) Hexkoel provided storage for 7720 pallets of citrus.
This modest increase in storage requirements has been largely due to the recent disruptions to the exports of citrus through Durban resulting from the unrest in KZN. This demand has been a good start and we wish Hexkoel all the best for the expansion of their service to the citrus industry!
