A lovely review! #discovertulbaghCant get enough of Tulbagh. Back again for a hike on Monday on the Murludi Dried Fruit Farm. An opportunity to get away from the blustery wind in Bloub...ergstrand : A big surprise greeted me coming through Nuwekloof pass : took all my effort to keep 4 wheels on the road as the car danced all over the road like a skittish racehorse. In the distance I could see clouds of dust billowing off the recently harvested farmlands. The wind soon disappeared and I was to regret this later , with temperatures in the 30s. Just the weather to dry the delicious fruit laid out in their trays. Good wholesome sunshine. Orchards and Orchards of stone fruit , the branches adorned with all the fruit. Ilse the farmers daughter briefing us about the trail and what we would be seeing, before giving us all a packet of dried fruit to sustain us. Beautiful views across Tulbagh and the majestic mountains framing the area. Spotted a dainty Pelargonum , peering g out from a well selected shady spot. 10 Kms under the belt with an option to swim in the dam. And then time to buy some of their delicious dried fruit : plump and succulent , giant farm eggs not fitting in the egg boxes and homemade Apricot jam. All with the branding : Farmers daughter - ala Ilse. Super experience
