In this month’s news from Asara: We host an important group of visitors from Japan, triumph for our Vineyard Collection Pinotage Rosé, good progress with an environmental initiative, we’re enjoying watching the transformation of our kitchen garden, a new initiative by our dynamic HR team aimed at promoting Asara’s ethos and company culture, and more.

Bells & Whistles
Asara was delighted to welcome and host our Japanese importers and friends from the Koto Corporation, and a group of notable figures from the world of food and wine in Japan, in early September. Koto Corporation has worked closely with Asara to grow the availability of our wines throughout Japan by double digits over the last two years. Asara Estate Manager Pete Gottgens says: “We were delighted to welcome our friends from the KOTO Corporation and their guests, and proud to show off not just Asara, but also our beautiful Cape Winelands. Our relationship with KOTO is ever stronger, and we look forward to much success together in future.”

As our Japanese visitors arrived we dispatched another Japan-bound container-load of wines, including some of our VC Pinotage Rosé which in the same week was chosen as one of the three top Pinotage Rosés in the country. Made in the elegant, dry, Provençal-style, Asara’s Pinotage Rosé is distinctly and uniquely South African, but also reflects the best qualities of a classical Rosé.
