Hiking at Jason's Hill

The perfect outing for avid walkers
Jason’s Hill Private Cellar is situated in the heart of the Boland below the Slanghoek Wine Valley Mountains. Not only does the winery produce multi-award-winning wines, it also boasts a hiking route with enchanting scenery, straggling streams, wondrous waterfalls and abundant wildlife – all of which nature lovers can experience firsthand.
The 6.5km trail departs from Jason’s Hill between 8am and 11am (Monday to Friday) and between 10am and 11am on Saturdays. The walk takes between three and four hours and costs R25 per person (a minimum of two people is required, and an adult must accompany children under 16). An illustrated bird list is provided, so you can tick off species as you spot them – which is especially fun for tourists not familiar with the local fauna.
