Perched at the top of Stellenbosch’s Helshoogte Pass, the Delaire Graff Spa is the apex of indulgence. From the estate gates, the driveway gently guides you to an even-higher plane, while the fragrant gardens soothe the mind into a calmer out-of-city state. The spa itself is discreetly positioned to ensure privacy and sweeping vistas. It is limited to six guests who book a half- or full-day spa journey.
Lay of the land There are four treatment suites with private courtyards – the couple’s room has an outside double shower under a majestic oak tree. There is also a sauna and steam room, a private relaxation room overlooking a koi pond, and a sunny terrace with a 22-metre infinity pool and jacuzzi.
There’s more The spa has its own homegrown Jardin de Delaire range of products in addition to top skincare brands such as Augustina Bader, Dr Barbara Sturm and Knesko. All treatments include a refreshing drink from Indochine restaurant, while a post-treatment glass of wine or cap classique by the pool or among the Dylan Lewis sculptures elevates the experience.
Recommended treatment The Jardin de Delaire Bath Ritual uses a custom blend of dried botanicals sourced from the estate to buff and soften skin, followed by a muscle-relaxing bath and gold collagen face mask, and ending with a warm oil massage for back, neck and shoulders.

Lay of the land There are eight treatment rooms, two mist rooms, two rasul chambers and an experience shower. Spa patrons also have full use of the indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Lanzerac is known for its food, and the spa’s Vitality Corner serves gourmet but wholesome breakfasts, wraps, light meals, smoothies and juices.
