Nestled in a bowl of magnificent mountains and a serene valley, the town of Tulbagh is just a scenic 90-minute drive from Cape Town, making it an ideal destination for a day trip, a mid-week break, or a weekend getaway. The valley also serves as an excellent base for exploring the Cape Winelands and surrounding areas. Whether you’re looking for adventure, family fun, or peace and quiet, Tulbagh offers something for everyone.

De Oude Kerk Volksmuseum stands as one of the last surviving cruciform churches in its original form, built-in 1743 by the VOC (Dutch East Indian Company). Inside, you'll discover a collection of Dutch period artefacts, and a few rare Cape antiques, all adjacent to the cemetery. The museum complex includes five historic buildings: De Oude Kerk, the Victorian House Museum and Christo Coetzee Art Museum, the Cape Dutch Pioneer House, the Earthquake Museum, and the Old Mission Church, four of which grace the historic Church Street in Tulbagh.
Come and spend some time in this delightful town in the Western Cape and enjoy the tranquillity and peaceful surroundings.
