Diemersfontein Wine Estate has long since earned a stellar reputation for doing things in style! This year promises to be no different as the organisers of the famous road-tour of “Pinotage On Tap” events (or POT as it’s better known) begin to set up for the first of four events, set to take place at The Litchi Orchard in Durban (28 July 2018).

This phenomenal one-day festival has over the years acquired an almost cult-like following, as the fans of previous years events have learnt to cling on to a good thing – and ensure that they attend the event year on year!

As has also become custom, fans around the country can look forward to four legs of this event, to be hosted in Durban, Jo’burg, Cape Town and Clarens. Most fans (who’ve attended before) may know (more or less) what they’re in for, but this year may just have taken things to whole new level… We’ve been told that the organisers may have a few new party-tricks up their sleeve this year, but either way, fans can expect a day to remember – endless Pinotage, (the Original Coffee Chocolate one) literally flowing from the barrel taps, (and hence the name) top live music bands, delectable foods and the best wine festival experience ever!

Now in its 14th year, guests can look forward to a music entertainment aspect of the event that’s bound to see ticket sales sell-out (sooner) than usual. This is because the highly-respected and award-winning South African band, Freshly Ground, will be featuring as the main act at all Pinotage On Tap events. Each event also offers an opening band or two – and based on the history of these gigs, guests can expect some of South Africa’s best!

Pinotage On Tap is by no means a light-weight on the list of South African & global wine events – a fact strongly supported by their impressive following of fans, and after being awarded the title of “Best Wine Event in the World” by Drinks International in 2014, the organisers had their work cut out for them in terms of keeping up this demanding reputation!

This event combines every aspect of an authentic wine celebration, and more – from delectable wine (an international favourite no less), top live music bands and incredible foods amongst an atmosphere of joyous and sociable people! And although the day has a rather traditional habit of getting people on their feet and dancing (glass in hand), you can also expect to have a true wine-down chill and meet new friends.

Tickets are R295 per person and include a signature “welcome gift” on arrival, your wine glass (or pass) endless Pinotage (on tap, literally) live music, games, wine pairings and the best wine festival experience ever!

Tickets are available at Computicket, no persons under 18yrs allowed.
