Spice up your relationship by taking your loved one on a romantic breakaway to the beautiful Boland town of Wellington.  The incredible scenic beauty and rural tranquillity will add a dreamy quality to a memorable date.

The Oude Wellington restaurant promises to rekindle romance with The Exclusive Alternative, a passionate dining affair featuring country-style continental cuisine with a unique South African twist.  Well-known for their reputation for exceptional food and service, the Oude Wellington Restaurant is also a popular tourism destination.

Unwind at Diemersfontein Wine by visiting their tasting room to sample their full range of wines, including the renowned Pinotage.  Enjoy a delectable food and wine pairing or a delicious platter from Aan Tafel on the deck.  Take a stroll through their peaceful gardens and be delighted by the huge wooden animal sculptures dotted between the shrubs.

The timeless elegance of Grand Dédale Country House will soothe and destress.  The estate offers relaxing outdoor activities including hiking and mountain biking.  The labyrinth is the perfect escape from the daily hustle and bustle and will transport you to a peaceful state of mind. The enticing River Walk winds along the river for two kilometres and over three pedestrian bridges.  The Vineyard Walk is suitable for more active hikers and meanders through the vinyeards to reveal the majestic mountains surround the estate.  If you’re feeling even more adventurous, hike to the top op Bainskloof Pass for exquisite views of the entire valley.   Stay the night in luxurious accommodation to make the most of all the activities available.

Nothing says romance quite like roses and at Langkloof Roses visitors are literally spoilt for choice with more than 14 000 rose plants.  This boutique guest farm tucked away between oak trees and a valley of roses lies a mere 6km outside Wellington.  Enjoy fragrant foot soaks, pick your own roses in season and relax in the quaint tea room with delicious treats and sumptious harvest table lunches.

Enjoy a lazy Sunday summer picnic in the beautiful gardens of Au D’Hex Restaurant.  Picnic baskets can be pre-ordered for the first Sunday of every month and is packed with delicious fresh, home-made goodies paired with stunning Wellington wines.

If you really want to get away from it all, book a stay at the Little Farm on a Stream, which is hidden away on a 23-hectare olive farm located between a natural spring and the Spruit River.  Be soothed by the sound of running water, while enjoying your morning coffee and catching a glimpse of the bird population. Grab your bikes of hiking shoes to explore the olive grove, buchu field, fynbos and proteas or spend some quiet time basking in the sun next to the river.
