If your dad is an outdoorsy type that enjoys the countryside, then this one is for him. Treat him to a delicious ''platter to table'' style picnic at the Olive Press barn. A gourmet picnic basket filled with incredible wholesome delicacies, lamb carved from an open-fire pit, and live entertainment, are all you’re going to need to impress that special man. The Olive Press is our beautiful venue whose floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlook the scenic grounds of Boschendal Estate, while still providing all the comforts of a stylish dining area. So no need to worry if it’s a rainy day – we’ve got you covered! If you would prefer to soak up the sun, feel free to take your blankets & chairs onto the spacious lawns. Collect your basket from 12h00, costs are, R495 for a basket for two, R260 for a basket for one and for kids under 12, only R115. Live entertainment begins at 12h00.
If your dad is more the foodie type, always watching the cooking channel and producing soufflés while uncorking superb blends, bring him to the beautiful Werf Restaurant, which will be offering an amazing three course farm-style menu. Seating is from 12h00 and the Father’s Day special costs R450 per person.
If your dad is more of a homely type, lighting fires and drinking tea while reading the paper, the Farmshop & Deli will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or you can take your dad over to the historic Rhone Homestead where a traditional Cape buffet lunch will be served from 12h00. The buffet costs R295 per adult and children under 10 cost R145
