- Owner-run and managed Pizza and Pasta Restaurant Situated in the heart of the quaint village of Montagu - South Africa, Burgundy Gherkin offers a fun and relaxing atmosphere and the best Pizzas and Pastas in Montagu (... and arguably on the entire Route 62 in South Africa). We also run specials and offer speciality meals throughout the year allowing your taste buds to stray away from Italian to a meltingpot of local flavours. Our unique viewing deck makes for a distinct hybrid of a popular take away venue on the ground floor and eat in venue for locals and international clients alike. Our outside deck allows for the perfect area to watch the world go by while sipping on something cold. We are also the only restaurant in Montagu with a dedicated indoor children’s area in our so called 'safe zone'.
