Tankwa Padstal in the Karoo is on the R355 about 70km from Ceres, on the way to Calvinia and the Tankwa Karoo National Park, but for a lot of people it is somewhere between nothing and nowhere. Until you have found this wonderful treasure in the Tankwa Karoo... Once you have been there it will be as close as your heart and thoughtsโซ

Tankwa Padstal is a farm stall/diner/convenience store that sells anything from sweets, chips and cold drinks to matches, bug spray, airtime, crafts, clothes and more! They have homemade preserves and all things yummie.
They serve homemade food made with love and their roosterkoek is a must have when you stop by. They have a heart for the community of the Tankwa Karoo. That is why one of their very special days in the year is the Tankwa Community Day.
