Who are we?
- DeKaap Vineyards are located three kilometres outside of the town of Mcgregor and the homestead dates back to circa 1880 . This historic home was gutted by fire some years back after which Carrick and Aimee Campbell and their family set out to lovingly restore the property and ran a country restaurant for some years . There are 25 year old Cabernet Sauvignon vines , as well as younger Malbec , Cabernet Franc , and Grenache Noir Vines surrounding the homestead . It was recently purchased by William Wilson who resides on the property . William looks after the grape production and vineyard maintenance . The annual harvest is sent to winemaker Lourens van der Westhuisen , owner of Arendsig Estate in Robertson , where he produces Cabernet Sauvignon and Blanc de Noir wines of exceptional quality under the deKaap brand .
