Who are we?

The Elephant and Barrel Village Pub is the only English Pub in Franschhoek and is located in the Centre du Village Square just off Huguenot Street. We have in excess of 30 local and international beers, 9 of which are “on tap”. At the Elephant and Barrel we have a fantastic Cocktail menu and both Siya and Sivu are experienced cocktail barmen. Ask for them on arrival to make you the best cocktail in town. Sip on cocktails on the upstairs verandah and watch the sun go down whilst gazing at the Groot Drakensberg Mountains in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Our pub food is good old traditional pub fare including basket meals as well as biltong and droëwors for snacks. We are well priced for the whole family and a children’s menu is available to ensure our little ones are looked after. Over and above our daily menu, we have both food and drinks specials that are definitely worth a try and have introduced a “Happy Hour” on Monday to Thursdays from 5-6pm and Fridays from 5
