Get your daily bread – and a glass or two of Môreson wine – at these fun bread-making classes.
Nobody needs an excuse to head to Franschhoek because, let’s be frank, good food and wine are always on the cards in this exclusive resort town. What if we told you that one of our favourite estate’s was hosting regular baking courses?
That’s right, Môreson farm, home to the highly acclaimed Bread & Wine restaurant, is hosting a series of one-day bread-making classes, where you’ll get to mix, roll and toss dough to make your own focaccia, olive-oil brown, sourdough and soda bread.
On arrival, you will receive your own apron, recipe book and ingredients. Then, with a bit of guidance, you will get to fill, twist and shape different breads. And while your loaves are in the oven, you’ll have time to enjoy some award-winning Môreson wines.
The fun continues with lunch at Bread & Wine restaurant, during which you get to taste the bread you baked, and enjoy more wine. At the end of the session, you’ll go home armed with recipes, an apron and firsthand knowledge of how to bake the perfect loaf.
Please note: classes are for a maximum of 10 people per session.
