Enjoying pride of place at the picture-perfect Leeu Estates in Franschhoek is a world-class sanctuary offering treatments and products imbued with the healing and holistic wisdom of African rituals. From the minute you set foot in the beautiful, modern building, the spoiling and cocooning begins.
Lay of the land The spa has four treatment rooms, three with views of the valley. There’s also a hair and nail salon, his-and-hers steam rooms and a plunge pool overlooking a tranquil lily pond. The relaxation area has a 15-metre infinity pool for dips in summer, plus a fireplace and blankets on massive couches for winter. Spa guests can now also book lunch or dinner in the hotel dining room.
There’s more A fresh fruit-juice infusion, heated floors and next-level spa attire set the tone – nothing stock-standard about these robes and slippers. And the treatment beds are big enough to stretch out in all directions, at the perfect temperature and made with the plushest of fabrics. It’s light years ahead of normal spa fare. There is also a children’s spa menu (6 – 12 years).
Recommended treatment The Soul of the Earth full-body massage uses specially blended body butters to target specific concerns. You can add on a body polish or hydrating facial.
