Who are we?
- Middelberg Guest Farm is a functional Karoo farm which is situated near the R318 road to Montagu, 40km from De Doorns. It is tucked away in a hidden fold in the mountains off the beaten track and offers visitors an escape from city life. Just arriving at the farmyard is a wonderful experience with a wide range of animals to delight any visitor. Here visitors will see the horses, goats, alpacas, pigs, dogs, peacocks, geese and chickens and up in the mountains there are herds of reasonably tame blue wildebeest and zebras. Visitors could also spot other antelope including grey reedbuck and steenbok. After initial resistance, the zebra herd has also made friends with a stray donkey who has now become part of their herd. The farm is owned by the Havinga family who bought the property in 2016. They farm with goats and grow vegetable seed on the farm. They've have established a range of accommodation and activities on the property ideal for a getaway or team building.
