Who are we?
- The Montagu Mail was started 18 years ago by Gabrielle Medhurst. What started out as a small community newspaper quickly grew into an institution. After years of stress and anxiety Gabrielle decided to sell her "baby" so she could concentrate on helping her partner Gareth Evans (the well-known carpenter who builds unique and superb kitchens) Niel Ackermann recently bought the Montagu Mail and with Mareletta Mundey as Editor, they have fast put their own stamp on it. This well-loved newspaper comes out once a month and contains local articles as well as serving as a business directory and an events calendar. It costs a mere R9.50 - well worth the money!
