- Situated on the slopes of the Papegaaiberg, surrounded by vineyards and oak trees, the Oude Libertas offers you a collection of artistic, theatre and lifestyle experiences as well as a vital insight into community and environmental development initiatives. Host your tailor made party, wedding, event, business meeting or conference by choosing a venue from our wide range of in and outdoor facilities. Furthermore, it is the home of the Distell Foundation, an umbrella body for Distell’s corporate social investment activities. Distell invests in a few key areas: arts & culture; education and skills development linked to job creation. With an open-air amphitheatre, coffee, wine & tapas bar, art gallery, slow market on Saturdays, yoga classes, kiddie activities, special wine tastings, film screenings and picnics on offer - there is something interesting for everyone to enjoy.
