Who are we?
- John & Susanna Tecklenburg, hands on Chef couple welcomes you to their quaint restaurant inside a Cape Dutch Style Barn dated back to 1795. Oude Wellington is a hidden gem and one of the Cape Winelands best kept secrets. On the foothills of the Bainskloof Pass, the R303, 4km from the church where Andrew Murray is seated, on the right hand side of the road, you'll find a large wine barrel, entrance to OUDE WELLINGTON RESTAURANT. A brick paved road+-800m will take you to the 1795 buildings housing the RESTAURANT and GUESTHOUSE with plenty of shaded parking. Stroll on to the patio all under oak trees and umbrellas, past a camp with ostriches and ponies. Have a drink at the thatched barrel bar or relax under the lapa overlooking the sparkling salt water swimming pool. Part of the restaurant comprises the Brandy Distillery where annually potstill brandy & fine grappa are distilled to be enjoyed in the quaint bar with FIREPLACE at the other end of the restaurant.
