Who are we?

Declared a Nature Reserve in 1977, Paarl Mountain is famous for ‘Paarl Rock’. The huge granite rock is formed by three rounded domes and is one of the largest granite outcrops in the world. The natural beauty of the reserve is easily accessible to visitors. There are several viewpoints with panoramic views over Paarl valley, reaching as far as Table Mountain. A network of paths makes it an ideal area for walking, hiking and cycling.
