Summer at Le Bonheur Crocodile Farm is full of super activities!

Le Bonheur is truly one of the Winelands gems that has to be visited in the Paarl region.

Their mission is to promote the conservation of the Nile crocodile and other reptiles through education and to provide an engaging experience that nurtures respect for crocodiles and other south African reptiles

Le Bonheur offers some exciting reptile adventures to visitors this summer.

The Croc Pond Tour

Their signature adventure, The Croc Pond Tour, is where visitors view about 300 crocs from hatchlings to big ones, on a guided tour spanning four large dams. On this tour you can touch/handle a juvenile croc, under expert supervision of their guides as well as view them underwater from behind the acrylic panels of their viewing cabin. From middle November, feedings will be done daily on selected tours.

The cost of such a tour is R60 for adults and R35 for u/18.

Snakes in Transit

Visitors can experience their “Snakes in Transit” indoor exhibit as from 4 November. This self-guided centre features a selection of local snakes and snakes from around the world in a fun and informative exhibit. On Saturdays and Sundays interactive snake shows provide interesting facts about these well adapted reptiles. The shows also involves a touch component.

The cost to view this exhibition is R40 for adults and R20 for u/18.

Combo Tours

Le Bonheur’s Combo Tours is also available where you can visit the Snake Centre and Croc Pond Tour.

The cost for this is R80 for adults and R50 for u/18

Croc Cage Dives

Le Bonheur offers a thrilling close encounter experience in partnership with African Croc Dive, Croc Cage Dives! You can swim next to big crocs in a roomy cage fixed centrally in a deep dam with clear water, while the dive master herds big crocs around a safe and stable cage. Divers (fitted with booties and second skins) can observe these ambush predators up close. Children from ages nine and older can partake in this activity. The cage can accommodated up to ten divers.

Group rates is offered.

The cost for this adventurous activity is R750 (per one person diving, R500 (per person - two persons diving ), R375 (per person - 4 persons diving ).
