Red carpet and fairy lights await loved ones on a balmy summer's evening

Valentine's Day means there's even more love in the air at the Language Monument as afro-jazz singer Ernie Smith and the Sean D Band will quicken the heart rates with their soothing sounds. So bring your loved ones and join us for a lovely, chic picnic under the starry Paarl skies on 14 February 2018. Moreover, guests will enter the Garden Theatre on a red carpet before settling on the soft grass where sparkling fairy lights will illuminate a magical evening. The occasion is also heart-warming in another respect as a part of the income is in aid of the monument's “Let's Read!” literacy project for children.

Tickets are available in advance at the Language Monument or Computicket at R150 per adult, R140 for students and R70 for children under 13; they can also be bought at the gate.

Bring a blanket or pillow and warm clothing. Safe parking is available and entry is controlled. Unfortunately no dogs or fires are allowed.
