13 December 2019 l 17:00 – 22:00

The end of the year may still be far off, but children who can no longer hold out to meet Father Christmas or Santa Claus can experience an early Christmas, during the Father Christmas Full Moon picnic. These picnics are very popular with local residents and overseas visitors, who especially enjoy the sunsets and incredible night scenes. A free guided tour of the monument is also available at 18:30. Father Christmas should make his appearance by 19:00, therefore parents should bring their children’s clearly marked gifts to the Visitor Centre beforehand to be included in his bag. Bring along a torch and warm clothes. No dogs and fires are allowed. Safe parking is available and access is controlled.

R40 | R10 | R5 tickets at Computicket or at the gate. Annual permits are available at the Taalmonument at R120 for individuals or R220 per family, which includes access to Full-moon Picnics.
