- It's rare to find a countryretreat as unique and authentic as Penhill Farm. A scenic 75minute drive away from Cape Town, you'll spot its towering twin palms long before the outcrop of white-washed buildings set on endless emerald lawns comes into view. This stunning oasis set in the Nuy Valley offers guests a perfect escape into karoo living. On the farm there are 5 dwellings - Pepper Tree Cottage, The Old Fruitbarn , East and West Grange and the Manor House. Pepper Tree cottages is the oldest dwelling in the Nuy Valley dating back to 1750 and the Manor House was build in 1840. Also on the farm there is the Cellars restaurant which serves upmarket bistro food , hiking and biking routes as well as big tennis court and boule court. Penhill is also very popular for weddings , anniversaries , birthdays and all other special occations.
