Who are we?
- We invite you to come and experience our world. Rooshoek will take your breath away not only because of the splendour of the mountains and the unspoiled environment, but you will also be able to appreciate some of our country’s most wonderful game in their natural habitat. The species you can expect to see are buffalo, sable antelope, eland, gemsbok, redhartebees, blackwildebees, springbok, bontebok, duiker, steenbok, fallow deer and some small cat species if you are lucky. There are also a wide variety of birds to be seen. Rooshoek is only 15 minutes’ drive from Wellington and 60 minutes from Cape Town. We tailor-make trip according to the needs of our visitors. The best time for game drives is early in the morning or in the afternoon. It takes about 2 hours to share all our animals with you. You are more than welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks along.
