Who are we?
- SMAC Gallery opened in 2007 on the first floor of the historic De Wet building in Church Street Stellenbosch and quickly garnered a reputation for presenting large, museum-quality modern and contemporary exhibitions, accompanied by well researched catalogues, monographs and SMAC represents a number of important established and emerging South African artists as well as international artists, in particular artists from the African continent. The gallery is committed to a dual-program of museum-quality exhibitions which contribute towards artistic discourse in the country and abroad, as well as strong contemporary focus which taps into the growth of Stellenbosch as a new contemporary art hub and an international platform for African contemporary art. The gallery is open Monday - Friday 09H00-17H00 ans Saturday 10H00 - 15H00 or by appointment.
