Who are we?
- Tucked amongst the lower slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, Stonewall cellar has a long history of great wine making. Many believe that it could in fact be the oldest cellar in the Cape Winelands region. It was constructed in 1828 and come 1873, the De Wall family began farming at Stonewall. When De Wall Koch took over the running of the farm in 1984, he sold 90% of the farm’s grapes to one of South Africa’s largest wine making companies; Distell. The remainder was kept for the production of his own wine.
