Who are we?
- The Kraal Gallery is a family-run weaving company that creates some of Africa’s finest weavings. Started in 1973, it has now become an anti-serum to the "tech generation" and mass production. Each and every fibre that we weave is unique, individual and part of the weaver. An artisanal heritage passed down from Master Hand Weaver to Master Hand Weaver. We believe that our products not only make "authentic" look pale in comparison to our chunky, purposeful irregularity, but they also carry the journey of the weavers and her yarn with them. Weavers are encouraged to develop their own styles and their own designs. To date, The Kraal Gallery has trained over 300 weavers - opening minds to creative potential and positively impacting families and communities through weaving.
