Who are we?
- A memorial stone for Nelson Mandela's eldest son has been unveiled at Touws River. Thembekile Mandela died in a car crash in the Karoo town in 1969, while his father was still imprisoned on Robben Island.
In honour of the personal sacrifices of the Mandela family and to commemorate the 50th anniversary since the passing of Thembekile Mandela, Irene Simelane, Christina Klaassen and Angelo Egidio who died in a tragic car accident on the N1 near Touwsrivier, 13 July 1969.
