Who are we?
- Bizansgat, a working sheep farm, is one of the oldest farms in the Ceres-Karoo area and was well known during the “Forgotten Highway” era. It is situated at the foothills of the Klein Roggeveld mountains with distant views of the Cedarberg mountains. Self-catering accommodation in carefully restored historic buildings, evoke a spirit of charm, history and peace. It is furnished in an old “farm style” theme, with candles and oil lamps as only light. No electricity. No TV. No cellphone coverage. No pets allowed. Bring own firewood or buy on the farm. Attractions and activities include bushman paintings, old graveyard, hiking, mountain biking, stargazing, birdwatching, donkey cart rides, wild flowers in spring. Wildlife: Springbok, Steenbok, Duiker, Klipspringer, Ribbok, Kudu, Aardvark, Baboon etc. Best time to visit: Autumn to Spring.
