Who are we?
- Living in the heart of the Winelands, I learned that only the very best European and North American Oak is used for making wine barrels. The wood is hand selected, split and air dried by the coopers themselves. I have heard many a winemaker ask: "What can be done with this superior oak after the winemaking process?" In 1999, answering this question became the motivation for Vinwood Furniture, where we extend the wine oak, through recrafting, the barrel wood into classic, contemporary furniture pieces, destined to become the antiques of the future. It is my intention that every Vinwood piece should reflect integrity, attention to detail and enduring quality - the values that drive my creative process and business decisions.
