September is Tourism Month!
Tourism Month is celebrated annually in September and highlights South Africa's diverse tourism offerings, and the sector's significant contribution to the country's economy.
This year the theme is “Tourism for inclusive growth” - "tourism is open for everyone to enjoy and we must strive to make the many social and economic benefits that it brings, available to everybody."
Ceres Tourism would like to encourage everyone to celebrate Tourism month and World Tourism Day on 27 September, by being a tourist in their own town or area.
The purpose of World Tourism Day is also to create awareness on the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value.
When last did you visit the Ceres Togryers Museum (no entrance fee for locals) and did you know that you can taste more than 6 different cider flavours at Loxtonia Cider?

The Absa
Cape Epic is held over 8 days and includes a time-trial prologue. The route changes every year, and leads aspiring amateur and professional mountain bikers from around the world through approximately 700 kilometers of the unspoilt nature of the Western Cape including approximately 15 000m of climbing over some of the most magnificent passes in South Africa.

6 sleeper guesthouse located 2km outside Ceres on a working farm. The apartment is located next to the owners house. The farm is ideal for birdwatching, walks and cycling. There are over 100 peacocks so please be aware that they are quite loud! They also have 3 donkeys that just love attention..
