There’s something special about
Tankwa Padstal... maybe it’s the smell of fresh coffee drifting across the dusty road, or the sight of homemade Karoo treats lined up just for you. For those driving through the Tankwa Karoo for the first time, it’s a little oasis on the journey — a place to stretch your legs, grab a bite, and breathe in the wide-open skies.
For the ones who always make a stop on the way to or from the Karoo, you know the feeling: the friendly smiles, the stories shared over a cup and the little treasures you pick up along the way.
We’d love to hear from you!

Share your Tankwa Padstal moments — a photo, a memory or even your favorite snack — and tag us. Let’s celebrate every journey, every stop and every smile.

This past weekend, Ceres was alive with energy, community spirit, and smiles all around as two major events brought people together from across the Western Cape!
What a milestone! The 32nd edition of this much-loved marathon was a true celebration of fitness and community. With participants taking on the 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km routes, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride.
The Mayor officially set off the runners, and along the way there were cheers, laughter, and plenty of local support.
A big thank you to all the organisers, volunteers, and running clubs who helped make this event another success.
The trails of Eselfontein came alive with cyclists, runners, and even the little ones enjoying a fun-filled day outdoors! From challenging rides to family fun, the event captured the adventurous spirit that makes Ceres so special.
A huge shoutout to everyone who participated and supported.
"𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆."

Last week at the office we planted a few "spekboom" – a simple act with a powerful impact.
Planting a tree is more than just adding greenery; it’s an investment in our environment and our future. Trees clean the air we breathe, provide shade, support biodiversity, and help combat climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide. They also create a sense of community and leave behind a lasting legacy for generations to come.
By planting these trees, we’ve not only added beauty to our space but also contributed to a healthier, greener environment. Every tree planted today grows into tomorrow’s gift of cleaner air, cooler spaces, and thriving ecosystems.
And the best part? You can be part of this too! We’ll have trees available for free collection
1.Wild peach
2.Cape Holly
3.Witkaree
4.Rapanea
– let’s grow a greener tomorrow together.
