Allée Bleue and Holden Manz excelled in this year’s Cape Bordeaux Red Blend Report, with their respective wines each scoring 90 and above.

Now in its third year, the annual competition, which was previously known as the Red Hot Wine Awards, received a total of 60 entries from 45 producers. The entries were tasted blind by a three-person panel, with the scoring done according to the 100-point quality scale. The panel was chaired by Christian Eedes, who was joined by Roland Peens and James Pietersen.

Allée Bleue scored 90 points for its L’Amour Toujours 2013 and 91 points for its Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2014, which Holden Manz scored an impressive 92 points for its Big G 2013.
