The Franschhoek Wine Valley Santa Shoebox Project in December 2017

Last year the Franschhoek Wine Valley team once again participated in the successful Santa Shoebox Project. The initiative collects and distributes gifts at Christmas time to underprivileged children throughout South Africa and Namibia. The success of the Project can largely be attributed to its personal nature – donors give gifts to children whose names, ages and genders are known.
On 5 December the team took their shoeboxes to the Ikhwezi Daycare Centre, which cares for 21 children from the Groendal community. No words could describe the excitement when the little one’s received their gifts, unwrapped them and discover an abundance of gifts.
This collection wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our members who generously donated towards the Franschhoek Wine Valley Shoebox Project.
