Spring is here and what better time to embrace this cheerful season in all its finery than at this year’s Franschhoek Uncorked Festival, which takes place over the weekend of 15 and 16 September. Discover a plethora of experiences as you travel from one estate to the next sampling fabulous new release wines on offer.

The participating Franschhoek Vignerons will be pulling out all of the stops as they showcase their selection of vintage releases, ranging from MCC’s, white wines and Rosés to red varietals. With two days to explore the finest wines in the valley,  it’s the perfect excuse to stock up for the upcoming festive season. Adding extra pizzazz to the festivities visitors can expect to find other unforgettable experiences included in the wine sampling lineup. These include themed tastings, bespoke meals, live music, old school lawn games and more.

Avoid the queues and pre-book your Uncorked Weekend Pass-through www.webtickets.co.za. Tickets cost R150 per person and allow you access to all of the participating wine farms as well as a complimentary tasting glass and free wine tastings. Kids under 18 enter free. To view the complete line-up of participating wineries visit www.franschhoekuncorked.co.za.

With so much on offer why not turn your Uncorked experience into a weekend getaway. During the two-day weekend, some accommodation establishments in and around Franschhoek will be offering not-to-be-missed accommodation packages. These packages are only valid for bookings for two night stays during the Franschhoek Uncorked weekend, and will include your Uncorked Weekend Pass tickets.
