Traditionally Rosés are enjoyed during the warmer months, but the versatility of this varietal has resulted in it being enjoyed throughout the year. Also, geared initially at women there is a growing trend amongst men to be seen to enjoy a good Rosé every now and then.
Annually International Rosé Day is celebrated on the 4th Friday in June, which this year happens to fall on 26 June. Although the Cape is preparing for another extreme cold front this weekend, which would automatically call for a robust red, why not break with tradition and savour a glass of Rosé instead.
