Spring is in the air and Paarl is blooming away! Have a look at our great active events happening during the month of September and diarise them immediately. You are certainly spoilt for choice!
Fairview Wine and Cheese -Celebrate Life at the La Capra Goat Run & Festival 2017
This year, the Goat Run at Fairview Wine and Cheese will add even more festivities to the agenda with the introduction of a lively festival. It takes place on Saturday, 9 September and begins at 11h30 and is open to all! The festival will offer a colourful array of fun activities and food stalls for both spectators and runners. Of course, the festival will have plenty of La Capra wine served in a revolutionary new way – wine on tap – which ensures the wine is fresh, more environmentally friendly and of the highest quality.
Entry to the festival is free. For trail runners, tickets are available for purchase via Entry Ninja (https://www.entryninja.com/events/event/13381-la-capra-goat-run-2017) and Trailrunning.co.za at (http://trailrunning.co.za/event/la-capra-goat-run-powered-by-asics-2017/).
Each year, all proceeds from the Goat Run go to The Drakenstein Hospice, Boland School of Autism, Sunfield Home, Wellington Lions Club, Paarl Mountain Reserve and The Sunflower Fund.
Run the Vines Event No.9
For the first time a Run the Vines Trail Run Events will take place at the majestic Anura Wine Estate on National Braai Day, 25 September 2017! With their splendid restaurant and Wagon Trail Brewery you can be sure that National Braai Day will be a special one. A Braai Menu will be available on the day as well as live music entertainment.

ASG Events: Varsity MTB Challenge: 30 September 2017 – 1 October 2017
The Varsity MTB Challenge is a two-day stage race which takes place annually in the beautiful Paarl Valley in the Cape Winelands. The popular event sees a host of Varsity Alumni gather once a year to rekindle friendships at the vibey Nederburg race village and tackle some of the trails finest trails on offer in South Africa. The event also caters for active students and the general public - the inaugural Varsity MTB Challenge attracts riders from across South Africa, racing for their alma mater or university of choice or simply just having fun as non-aligned teams.
