Congratulations to the "Potjiekos" Competition - 2023 Winners!
Saturday morning, 7 October, started off rainy and windy. Luckily that did not discourage the competitors from pitching up. Around 8 o'clock the sun came out and fires were lit. Lots of laughter and "gees" as they prepared their masterpieces.
A huge thank you to all the Sponsors for the fantastic prize giveaways and the Judges who came all the way from Ceres.

27 September 2023 the Touwsrivier Community celebrated Mrs. Magret Maritz's 117th Birthday.
In a convoy following a SAPS vehicle, Mrs. Maritz waved like royalty to the community. "Trompoppies" followed the beat of loud music coming from a car.
Aquila Private Game Reserve donated the beautiful cake. Other donors also contributed, resulting in a delicious lunch lovingly prepared in the "AGS Tehuis vir Bejaardes" kitchen.
Making Mrs. Maritz's birthday milestone even more special.
The Touwsrivier Community is truly blessed to have her spend her golden years with us.

Arriving in vintage cars the " Sonder Nonsens Vreetsaam Toer" enjoyed lunch at the Kroonplaas Restaurant & Patriot Coffee (Engen Truck Stop), today.
Vintage means cars older than 30 years. Antique cars are even older, at least 45 years old.
The club celebrates its twenty-fourth year of existence and cars must be a 1960 model.
After a delicious lunch, they departed to Matjiesfontein where they will stay the night in the famous Lord Milner Hotel.
Have a safe journey and please do visit us again soon.
