Snowfall blankets the area between Montagu and Worcester, transforming it into a winter wonderland amidst strong winds and heavy rainfall.

Residents and tourists alike have been captivated by the unexpected snowfall, which has coated fields and mountains in a pristine white layer.

The weather phenomenon, coupled with gusty winds and rainfall, has created challenging conditions for motorists and hikers in the area.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued warnings advising caution on the roads due to reduced visibility and potentially hazardous driving conditions. Travellers are urged to check road conditions and plan their journeys accordingly.

Local authorities and emergency services are on standby to assist residents and visitors affected by the weather, ensuring safety measures are in place during this unusual weather event.

As the snowfall continues to delight and challenge, Cape Town and its neighbouring towns are embracing the beauty of nature’s unpredictability while taking necessary precautions to ensure everyone’s safety.
