The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s Fire Services, along with their partner Winelands FPA, have successfully contained the fire on the R301 in Paarl.

The fire was reported earlier this afternoon, and firefighting activities continued through windy conditions.
Firefighting vehicles, crews, and a ground team from Lewis Bush Clearing will remain on the scene throughout the night for monitoring and mopping up activities.
The road remains open.
This will be the final update regarding this fire.
