Winter Fair Makietie/Local is Lekker

For the first time in years, McGregor will celebrate everything that is local  with its first Village Fair | Makietie/ Local Is Lekker

This will be an old-fashioned village affair that brings together the folk of the NG Kerk, the Saturday morning pop up market and other select stalls – more than 25.  Every single one is from the village and offer you McGregor’s unique and boutique wine, food and other fabulous fare.

For children there’ll be pony rides and face painting and a safe space for to play.  For the somewhat older, the McGregor Young Warriors will honour us with a cycle past as the winners of the youth bake-off are announced.

For the adults, there’ll be food, wine and confectionary.  There will be jewellery, bric-a-brac, crafts and carefully curated repurposed goods and clothing. And lots more.

We’re creating a space for you to sit, sip, enjoy lunch and while away the time, listening to McGregor’s award-winning brass and steel bands. 

Date:  Saturday 18 June 2022

Venue:  N G Kerk Precinct, cnr Voortrekker and Church Streets, McGregor

Time:  10h00 to 15h00

Tickets: R80 per person for wine tastings and purchases (no charge for locals not buying wine but who are market regulars)

Dogs welcome but must be on leads at all times
