The Paarl Wine and Tourism team has been working non-stop behind the scenes since the Corona pandemic hit our shores. We are often asked by media and businesses what is the impact of Covid-19 on tourism in the Drakenstein area, can we quote financial numbers? The short answer is, we can not determine the impact as it is still unfolding around us.

The annual Paarl Cycle Tour on Sunday 2 February will bring more than 1500 cyclists to Paarl. The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Paarl, will start at a new venue, scenic Fairview wine estate, for the first time. It will be a seeding race for the Cape Town Cycle Tour 2020 and is held under the auspices of the Pedal Power Association (PPA).
Make your way to Nederburg in Paarl on Black Friday (and Saturday) to stock up on some of the winery’s choicest selections. Versatility is the name of the game, with offers on current and older vintages like you’ve never seen before. Nederburg Black Friday takes place on 29 and 30 November.
