Wellington wasn’t just his childhood home - it shaped his voice, sharpened his sense of justice, and grounded his lifelong commitment to telling stories that mattered. Through his plays, poetry, and public life, he gave Afrikaans space to grow: more inclusive, more human, more honest.

The energy across the tradeshow floor was incredible, and the #VisitPaarl and #VisitWellington desk was absolutely buzzing with activity.
Following a successful BONDay yesterday, today’s first trade day set the perfect tone for what’s to come. Every meeting and connection was meaningful and valuable, and our destinations Paarl and Wellington, joined by our LTA's Paarl Wine Route Go Wellington and ENJOY DRAKENSTEIN truly shone on the global stage.
We’re excited to keep the momentum going into Day 2 as we continue to celebrate creativity, collective growth, and collaboration.
