PUBLIC PROFILE

With the president encouraging those who can work from home to do so with our current Adjusted Level 4 Lockdown measures it seems that Zoom meetings and Google Hangout chats are definitely here to stay for a while still.

We have put together a bunch of perfect Wellington backgrounds so that you can pretend you’re riding on horseback at one of our farms, tasting wine in one of our producers’ tasting rooms, appreciating our spectacular mountains or strolling through our Main Road and Church Street.

Whoever you’re meeting virtually, we’re just happy you are practising social distancing whilst at the same time enjoying Wellington’s beauty!

The food and beverage industry has been one of the hardest hit during the COVID-19 pandemic and current Adjusted Level 4 Lockdown restrictions are once again a huge challenge.

Some eateries in Wellington have closed for this period, but there are some that are continuing to serve the public even in the midst of this crisis.

Please support them from the safety of your home!

The wine lifestyle is but a rumour until you meet Rene and Birgit and their Tasting Stoep at Jacaranda Wine- and Guestfarm ! They share their farm with two dogs, seven cats, several chickens, an abundance of birdlife and it is planted with chenin blanc, viognier, chardonnay, shiraz and mourvedre. . . . Tastings are available by appointment and done on the stoep by winemaker, Rene, himself. If you're lucky enough to visit during jacaranda season (from late September to Novemb...er), you might like to book a stay in one of their two farm cottages. . . . #visitwellington #wellingtonwineroute #safetravels #weareopen
