Dear Poets and friends of poetry,

This year, in spite of uncertain times, we are delighted to announce that we will be

Proceeding with our ninth year of celebrating the Art of Poetry in McGregor.

Our enthusiastic plan is to offer an intimate and heartfelt gathering of poets and poetry lovers.

We envisage seven events which will take place over 27 – 29 August.

Our theme this year is THE GARDEN OF BELOVED-DIE TUIN VAN DIE BEMINDE

Youth Day

Youth Day commemorates the Soweto Uprising, which took place on 16 June 1976, where thousands of students were ambushed by the apartheid regime. On Youth Day, South Africans pay tribute to the lives of these students and recognises the role of the youth in the liberation of South Africa from the apartheid regime.
