Set across 107km of mixed terrain through the Langeberg, the route moves through vineyards, rolling gravel roads and stretches of single track before finishing with the well known climb up Galgeberg.
Itโs a challenging ride, but also a scenic one, with wide valley views and a strong sense of the landscape along the way.
The race starts at Lordโs Wines, with riders passing through and around McGregor before the final ascent to the summit finish.
Whether youโre taking part or simply spending time in the village, itโs a good weekend to be outdoors.

You see McGregor has no through road.
You visit McGregor with a purposeโฆ to drink coffee, meander through the tree-lined streets, stare at the gorgeous houses, sip wine, eat good foodโฆ well that was my purpose anyway.
Itโs this somewhat isolation, which only adds to that nostalgic feeling of bygone days.
Unless you want to tackle the gravel road which connects the village with the N2 via Stormsvlei Pass.
McGregor was founded in 1861 and initially named Lady Grey, on what was then Over-den-Berg farm, so the history of this area goes back way more than we can imagine.
The name Lady Grey caused some confusion for the postal service as it shared itโs name with another town in the Eastern Cape.
In 1905 it was renamed to honor Reverend Andrew McGregor, a prominent figure in the Dutch Reformed Church.
The town lies at the foot of the Riviersonderend mountains, about 20km from Robertson.
Itโs charming buildings, beautiful gardens and quirky shops will entice you to only want to stay longer.
This is one little town you need to try to visit at least once in your lifetime.
