Set against the imposing Drakenstein Mountains near Paarl, the winery commands magnificent views and lets you imagine how it was in the beginning when founder, Philippus Wolvaart, arrived in 1791. His fine manor house, built in 1800, overlooks generous lawns and gardens, filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers and shrubs.
