February is the best time for grapes. On the farm, they are harvesting wine grapes, and in the garden, a favourite summer stop is in the shade of the pergola, which is covered in table grape varietals. From one end of the pergola to the other, we have 19 varieties growing, carefully selected so that they ripen one after the other.

You have got to love Babylonstoren’s regular workshops that invites locals for a creative and meditative experience. Starting with a walk through the garden, the workshops are usually full day affairs with a delicious lunch at the Greenhouse Restaurant included. Hotel guests are invited to also take part in any of the workshops during their stay at no extra cost.
